On our path to success we have been using our maths skills in so much of our outside learning this week. We have connected our learning and challenged ourselves to double numbers, making number sentences, identify odd and even numbers and using our fabulous problem solving skills. How amazing are we?

February is a busy month for Kooth Digital Health with one of the UKâs largest mental health campaigns taking place âChildrenâs Mental Health Weekâ from 7th February â 14th February 2022 aswell as celebrating LGBT+ History Month. This is an important month in the calendar for anyone who works with children, young people, adults and families as we all work together to raise awareness and remove stigma. As part of our theme âLaw and Orderâ, Year 4 have been learning about how decisions in our country are made. Today we carried out a class debate. The children were able to plan their points for debate and deliver these with confidence and conviction. I think we might have some MPs of the future at Hebburn Lakes Primary.
This week in English we have been writing our own playscripts and performing them in small groups. The children were excellent at following stage directions and using expression in their voices.
Wow!!
Thanks to the support of the whole school community, we have now raised enough money to buy not oneâŠ..but two defibrillators!!!
We are in the process of ordering them. One will be located in school and the other is going to be donated to an organisation within our community.
We have started our new theme âLaw and Orderâ. We decided to immerse our classrooms fully and decorator the classroom doors. This theme is based on the concept of justice, with a key focus on citizenship. Please take a look at our knowledge organiser and homework menu on the class page.
