Last week we had a visit from Reverend Ian from St John’s church. He talked about when you get a gift and how you have to look after it. People believe we are a gift from God. It is also believed that light is a gift from God and that it is good. He then discussed light, such as the sun and the moon. How the sun affects seasons and how the moon affects the sea. After that Reverend Ian said that we shine a light and we need to shine our light on others. He asked the children how we could brighten up someone’s day? Some suggestions were play with your friends, share, give someone a hug, make someone laugh and be kind to everyone. Finally, he shared a prayer about our school.
