Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you for you continued support and patience whilst we put plans in place to deal with all queries relating to Covid-19 and the advice filtering through to schools in relation to the Government’s response.

Following the Prime Ministers press conference last night, we have now taken the decision to cancel all none essential travel from now until at least the Easter holidays, as a result all trips will be cancelled, until further notice. Clubs will run until next Friday as planned but when they stop for the Easter Break it is likely that there will be delayed start in the summer term.

As of tomorrow (18/3) the doors will be open from 8.35 in the morning so that children can filter in at the start of the day, avoiding larger gatherings on the yard. We will not be holding any whole school assemblies or events for parents and lunchtime will be a little more staggered than usual. At present levels of staffing in the school are as stable as we could expect and we are trying our best to ensure it is as close to business as usual as we can. If this changes in the coming days, weeks or indeed months’ plans have already been drawn up to ensure we can maintain safe working practices.

As always, I will do my best to keep you as updated as I can but in the meantime the advice is that if anyone in your household is showing symptoms of a new persistent cough or high temperature they should self-isolate for 14 days. Please don’t forget to call the office so that we can ensure this is recorded accurately on the registers.

With regards,

Mrs Moody
