7 Blue had great fun learning all about life on the International Space Station and discovering what it takes to become an astronaut!
As part of our astronaut training, we explored how astronauts such as Tim Peake practice carrying out delicate tasks while wearing their spacesuits. We took on the challenge of wearing big gloves and goggles to build a tower using construction bricks. Each person added one brick before passing the gloves and goggles on to the next astronaut in training!
We quickly discovered just how tricky it was to complete a simple task when our vision and sense of touch were restricted. This hands-on experience encouraged us to think about the concentration, patience and teamwork needed by astronauts.
What a fantastic learning experience!
