For our Get Ahead challenge this week we:
Drawing and colouring with our feet! …. it was very challenging but we persevered.
Children in Need (Pudsey Day)
We collected many donations, dressed up and even made our own Pudsey pictures.
Thank you to all the children and parents for their amazing support and effort.
7 Red and their fantastic phonics work this week…
Well Done !
7 Red designed and made a fairy pot –
Small enough for a fairy.
A lid to keep the magic in.
A handle for the lid.
An attractive design/ pattern.
Thumb pot construction/ assembly.
I think 7 Red ticked all the boxes……
We investigated number patterns on a 100 square

Look at the ruler … there is a number pattern (look carefully at the tens and ones)
Which numbers are covered up?, we investigated different ways of solving this problem.
We also used dice to create ascending and descending number patterns.
We had a fantastic time with our new parachute in P.E…..
Don’t worry, nobody got eaten in the shark game!
7 Red investigated, designed and made a ‘bag for a fairy’.
It had to be small, light, waterproof, with a strong handle …. and look amazing!
Check out the Cottingley Fairy photographs …. real or fake?
In English we are exploring Fairytales. This week our tale is Little Red Riding Hood.
We made our own puppets and ‘acted out’ the story … the wolf was very frightening!
Challenge question – ‘What IS a Fairytale?, how is it different to other stories?’
7 Red (and the whole school) rocked out to live music ….FANTASTIC!
Then we had a whole school picnic on the field (a surprise for Miss Corker), with scrumptious cakes! – What a day!
