Is it full or is it empty?

13th February 2026N Sikka

Today in Math’s we focused on volume, we used various classroom objects to fill and empty different containers and used the associated vocabulary to describe the children’s findings. The children used their prediction skills to say how many objects would fill a container and then compared results.

The children understood that ‘the most important thing we need to know about volume is it is how much space something takes up.’
