As an introduction to our new theme ‘Come Fly With Me America’ year 5 had an immersive American day. We learnt to line dance, created our own American flags, tasted American snacks and voted on our favourite. ( Strangely Beef Jerky was very popular !) We took part in hobby horse races – just like real cowboys ! We listened to and learnt all about Country and Western music and learned loads about America as a country. As you can see from the pictures below we have had so much fun.
