eVisa

2nd December 2024h teacher

The UK Government is replacing physical immigration documents with eVisas, a digital proof of immigration status.

Parents and guardians of children who are not British or Irish citizens, and whose children have either a biometric residence permit (BRP) card expiring on 31 December 2024, or a passport with an indefinite leave to remain ink stamp or vignette sticker, should take action to access their eVisa now, and do so on behalf of their children too.

An eVisa cannot be lost or stolen and can be accessed online by visa holders at any time to prove their rights in the UK. It’s free and does not effect your immigration status.

Today in Science, 3 Red carried out an investigation to see which objects we could see our reflection in . We then used torches to check if light could be reflected from the objects.

After that, we discussed which item would be most useful in giving light in the hold of a ship for a slave travelling from Africa to America in the 1700s.
The children decided that a mirror would be the most useful object, as it would reflect the light.

We had a visit from Reverend Ian at St. John’s church. He talk about Remembrance Sunday. He mentioned how we remember things (like playing a memory game) and how it is so important to remember people who went to war. He then explained how in the bible it mentions peaceful people dying for good people and that we should not take peace for granted.

Sweet Caroline and the Football Boots by We Make Culture is coming to South Tyneside.

29th October at Brinkburn CIO

30th October at Valley View Primary School

31st October at Perth Green Community Association CIO

1st November at Hebburn Sports Club FC

Sweet Caroline and the Football Boots is a fun, interactive, music-led performance for all the family with local musicians Ashleigh Lowes and Paige Temperley.

The songs in this performance have been co-created and inspired by girls football teams from across South Tyneside. The story is about the journey of “Sweet” Caroline, a small girl from South Tyneside who is desperate to be a footballer and who teams up with her older neighbour to take on the boys! It is an engaging story of discovering your talent, overcoming stereotypes, finding your team and having confidence in yourself, with a fun, uplifting message for a young audience.

As part of the ticket price, there will be themed food served after the show – and as it is football-themed, there has to be Bovril, sausage rolls and pies!

Running time – 45 minutes

Tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite link HERE

Get yourself booked up and come and see the fabulous story of ‘Sweet’ Caroline… (Ba-ba-baaaah)

As part of our Learning Means the World theme- ‘That’s all folks!’ We have been creating our very own animation.  We created our own story boards, then using play dough we created the characters from the stories we had made. After that we designed backdrops for our animation. We then used ‘stickbot’ to create our very own animations.
