Today in our spelling and grammar lesson we focused on nouns. We looked at specific nouns from the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. The children learnt a noun song to help them understand that nouns can be a ‘person’, ‘place’ or an ‘object’. The children picked up a picture then said what it was and decided which category it fell into, either ‘person’, ‘place’or ‘thing’. It was great way to introduce this element of spelling and grammar to them.
