To mark the sad passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll, each class has created different art works to remember her and celebrate her incredible reign. I’m sure you will agree that the pictures have truly captured what a remarkable monarch she was.

We had the best day! As a special treat for all the hard work that year two have done both in preparation for and during their SATs we have been to The Dune Soft Play in South Shields. As you can see from the pictures both children and staff have had a great day!
This morning we have been printing. As part of our Going Wild theme we have been creating our very own animal prints. We have designed, made and printed using different techniques. We used nets to create a reptile skin. Paper to create tiger strips and shaving foam and tiles to print our own creations.
As part of our jubilee celebrations we have been creating our very own profiles of the Queen. We have filled them with all things British to celebrate her 70 years as our monarch. I think you’ll agree they look amazing!
We had so much fun yesterday in maths, we have been investigating measures. The children looked at what they could measure and how they could measure it. They also talked about the different abbreviations that they knew and new ones. Using different measuring equipment to measure items in the classroom.
For the last couple of weeks we have been using the book ‘Leaf’ by Sandra Dieckmann as our text for our English lessons. As you can see we have produced some amazing work; researching polar bears, creating reports, writing in role. We have also created some brilliant freeze frames.
