So this years theme was ‘Out Of This World’ and wow what an amazing day we had! Here are just some of the fantastic pictures of the amazing costumes, beautiful art and creative activities we did. We also had an ‘out of this world ‘ workshop with Josh from RTC.
We had so much fun in PE this week. We have been developing our dribbling skills and learning how to keep possession of the ball. As you can see we are really good and can’t wait for next weeks session!
In Jigsaw he have created a bird to go into our garden of dreams. We designed it together, then in our teams we created it. We have been learning all about how to work as a team and learning that when you do you can create some wonderful creations – as you can see here.
2 Purple have had so much fun with our Land Ahoy! theme this week. We have been designing a remote control to help a pirate with one eye, a hook for a hand and a parrot on his shoulder! First we drew the pirate that we were designing for. Then we had to design a remote control that would help him with his everyday pirate life. The children came up with some fantastic ideas including a remote to find treasure, one to protect them from sharks, one to alert them when other pirates are near and one to help calm him down when he gets angry.

As part of our Learning Means The World theme, Paddington’s Passport, 2 Purple made marmalade sandwiches. We all had a try of them and even though they weren’t to everyone’s taste everyone had a try. We then wrote instructions so that we know how to make them even better next time.

To mark the sad passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll, each class has created different art works to remember her and celebrate her incredible reign. I’m sure you will agree that the pictures have truly captured what a remarkable monarch she was.
What a great morning we have all had. I’m glad to see that their training and determination has paid off. The children have all had such a great time as you can see by the pictures….
We had the best day! As a special treat for all the hard work that year two have done both in preparation for and during their SATs we have been to The Dune Soft Play in South Shields. As you can see from the pictures both children and staff have had a great day!
