This week in Year 1 we have been working hard to half both objects and quantities. We figured out that if we halved something it meant that we shared it between one other equally. We halved shapes, numbers of counters and sandwiches! We even ate both halves, I wonder what fraction that would make?
We helped the Queen celebrate her Platinum Jubilee, it was so much fun!
As part of our Learning Means the World theme of light and dark we have been looking at how to create different shade and tones to give our pictures a more realistic look. Also we looked at blending and shading and how we could use these skills to create different effects.
