Easter Assembly

27th March 2024L Chisholm

Reverend Ian from St Johns Church  joined us for our Easter Celebration assembly.  We looked at the Easter Story and how sometimes the impossible can happen.  Easter is a sign of new life and new hope and that we should rejoice in the lessons Jesus taught us.

Year 5 – Indian Dance!

7th March 2024Leah Hockings

Year 5 have been extremely lucky to learn some new dance moves!

We took part in an Indian dance work-shop and learnt the steps to a very famous song, “Jai Ho”. We put the steps together in sequence and performed our work-shop dance as a year group.

Everyone was on board learning the moves, and having a lot of fun on the way.

Well done Year 5!

4 Red Stained Glass Creations

15th December 2023L Davison

On Monday, in RE 4 Red looked at how Christians believe that Jesus is the light of the world. We learned that this metaphor is used because Jesus lights a path for Christians, it is also a symbol of hope and warmth.

As part of this, Year 4 developed their previous skills of making stained glass windows, this time adding symbols of light. Take a Look.

Reception Harvest festival using our senses!

24th October 2023K Richardson

As part of our Learning Means The World theme, ‘Happy to be me,’ we have been using our senses. We investigated some fruit and vegetables, then we decided to make some soup. We also talked about the Harvest festival and how we celebrate crops that are gathered from the fields and all the foods we eat. We also talked about how foods can be shared within the local community. This afternoon we tasted our soup, it was delicious! A big well done to children who weren’t sure if they would like the soup but gave it a try 🥕🧅🥦🫑
