7 Blue took part in careers day. This was a valuable experience and helped the children to explore different careers.  They interacted with professionals from diverse fields and this helped them to get a better understanding of the world of work.
It was a beautiful day for sports day. 7 Blue took part in 6 mini sporting activities; the egg and spoon race, football dribble, sack race, baton pass, bean bag balance and skipping through a hula hoop. All of the children were fabulous!

7 Blue had an amazing time at Jarrow Hall this week.  We took part in 2 workshops to learn all about Anglo Saxon life. We really enjoyed learning about the animals on the farm and spinning wool to make textiles but our favourite part of the day was listening to the story of ‘Beowulf’ sitting around the fire in the Anglo Saxon great Hall. We ended the day having fun in the park.
We’ve had an brillint day at Jarrow Hall, learning all about Anglo Saxon Life. The children took part in three workshops. Learning about ‘crime and punishiment’, ‘life on the farm’ and ‘making textiles’. We also enjoyed listening to the tale of Beawulf, told around a firepit.

We have been so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Amy who was from a company called Active Futures. Active Futures run a range of sporting activities around the North East and have been running some of these in our local area. This week the children engaged in an activity called Futsal which is like a smaller scale game of football. Amy showed the children some tricks to do with the football and then played lots of games. The children really enjoyed their sessions and even received a leaflet to take home with all of the information about the activities that Active Futures run. Please feel free to have a look and sign up to the activities!
