A fabulous week in Reception! Lots of shape work and pattern, word hunts and writing and as always fabulous creativity! We have some new additions to Reception, some frogspawn! The child have talked about how we can look after them and have loved watching them grow and wriggle about! We look forward to watching them change and grow over the weeks.🐸🤗⭐️❤️
After seeing Hawthorn care home asking for 100 birthday cards for one of their residents 100th birthday we knew we had to act! Our brilliant Year 6 children were given the task of creating cards to represent our school. We were amazed by the finished products!
We hope Irene had a fantastic birthday and celebrated in style!

A fabulous week in Reception! Spring has definitely sprung ☀️. We’ve had creativity, so much writing, fabulous maths and simply a magical week where everyone has shone 🤗
Wow! We have had some amazing creations for our recycling Easter Bonnet competition. The children have really taken on the challenge with such enthusiasm and pride, it’s going to be a difficult job choosing a winner.

This week in 4 Red we have been learning how to use ‘rule of thirds’ in our artwork. We created pieces inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night.
Reception had a fabulous stay and play sessions. Their grown ups came to spend some time joining in with some of the activities the children enjoy in school. They showed them how creative they are, how they are working so hard on their Sounds Write skills, maths and so much more! Well done Reception!

This week we have been looking at Roman pottery and mosaics in our Learning Means the World theme “You’re Not Invited”. The children have made some fabulous Roman slab pots using clay and different tools and created some fantastic mosaics are using an IT program. We are so happy how they have turned out!
