In hockey today, we battled against the wind to continue to practise our dribbling and passing skills.
This week in our LMTW lessons, we have been developing our computing skills. We have been learning about algorithms and creating our own algorithms on Hour of Code and Scratch. We were set challenges to make our sprite characters do lots of different tasks – we had lots of fun doing them!
This week we have been working with number bonds to 10. We used various concrete objects to support our learning. We investigated various numbers and looked at their number bonds. Skittles, bean bags, numicon, aliens and so many other ways! Ask us some of our number bonds if you see us!
This week, the nursery children enjoyed a spring walk around the school grounds. We were looking for signs of spring. Although it was windy, it was quite a mild day – a sure sign that we are waving goodbye to winter and have some warmer weather on the way! We found flowers and noticed new leaves growing on the trees. We even saw bumblebees on the hunt for flowers, just like us!
While in the main school yard, we took the opportunity to practice our climbing and balancing skills on the trim trail and enjoyed playing on the play equipment too!
