As pat of our current theme ‘Athens V Sparta’ we have been looking at persistence, determination and team work. We have tried to balance spoons on our noses- which isn’t easy but we were determined to do it and working as a team of structural engineers to create the tallest tower we could.
As part of our Jigsaw lessons we have had designed and made our own potato characters. The children thought carefully about what characteristics their characters would have.
We had some very special visitors this afternoon! Our Learning means The World theme this week was ‘Police, fire, ambulance!’ Some very kind police officers came to chat to the children. They told them about all their job and let everyone have a turn in the car, try on some of their uniform and of course have a turn of the lights and siren! We had a fabulous afternoon.
Another fabulous week! So much maths work going on.. number bonds, capacity and so much more. Help is at hand was shining, helping each other, keeping everything tidy and showing their fabulous skills at home lots of independent phonics, reading and building words, fabulous team work and being a great friend!
Take a look at what activities each year group carried out on or RE Day this week!
Another busy week! The children are really developing their phonics and maths skills and using these skills in their independent time. Fabulous creative work and amazing team work.
Another fabulous week in Reception. In our learning means the world theme we have been visiting India. We have been looking at Indian culture, traditions and dancing! Our Sounds Write skills are developing and we have had so much fun in the snow!
As part of ‘anti-bullying week’, we have been learning about what it means to be respectful to others. The children came up with lots of mature and sensible answers, which they recorded and used to create a class ‘chain of respect’. Well done Year 4.
For Anti-Bullying Week, we discussed how we can show respect to each other and around the school. On coloured strips of paper, we wrote all the possible ways we could show respect and created a chain of respect. Then, we created respect posters, thinking about all the different ways we can show respect in our school.
