The School Council had a meeting with the Local Authority regarding the infrastructure surrounding the school. Attached are the results so far, watch this space!
A massive well done to Jessica, on her contribution to charity and fundraising in her own time!
With the help of friends, Jess has organised craft days , ran stalls at the event, held games on the microphone with the DJ’s and came up with lots of ideas to raise money!
Amazingly, a ‘Kids rave’ (organised by Jess) has raised over £1,000!
Money which will all be donated to local charity, Hebburn Helps, and will support many families during financial difficulties, including enabling children waking up to presents on Christmas morning- a true gift of kindness and generosity.
We are beyond proud of the selfless act of kindness you have displayed, and hope you continue to raise money for amazing causes!
Well done Jess!
This week in 5 Red we have enjoyed lots of creative activities linked to our new theme, “Come Fly With Me America”.
The children have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in line-dancing, looking at traditional and modern dance techniques. They followed the steps to a classic line dancing song, “Achy Breaky Heart” by Billy ray Cyrus, followed by a modern dance to Steps 5, 6, 7, 8. As you can see 5 Red thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We may have some future line-dancers in our midst! Yee-Haw!
We have also been learning about Native American culture this week. The children then enjoyed designing and creating their own dream catchers using different materials. The final results were beautiful and all so unique, like our children!
Dear Community,
Preparations for Christmas are likely to be well underway in most households, with only 38 more sleeps to go until the big day. Christmas can be a very stressful time for children, young people and adults with Autism so I would just like to draw your attention to the National Autistic Society’s website which has lots of useful information and strategies which may help us to cope better during the busy festive period.
I really do hope that you find the links helpful. Just click on the link below for more information.
Take good care.

Unfortunately School Council could not attend the Armistice service in Monkton Village as it was on Saturday this year. Hebburn Lakes has still placed a wreath at the memorial. We will remember them ❤️
Mrs Moody held a special assembly today ahead of Remembrance Day this weekend on Saturday 11th November. Remembrance Day marks the day that World War One ended, at the eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month in 1918. The children learned about why poppies are such an important part of our tributes to those lost in battle and we also observed a period of silence to respect those affected by wars past and present. A wreath of remembrance will also be kindly left at the war memorial in Hebburn on behalf of Hebburn Lakes Primary School by Mrs Richardson.
Dear Community,
South Tyneside’s wonderful Parent Carer Forum are looking to recruit new volunteers.
If you have answered yes, then please read the attached flyer and get in touch via e-mail or social media: [email protected]
Take care
