Take a look at Hebburn Lakes RE Day Autumn 2
The last few Autumn activities and then we have been dipping a toe into Christmas!
A snowy surprise this morning! So we decided to investigate, build and sledge! A fabulous day of creating snowmen, snow angels, sledging and investigating melting snow!❄️ ⛄️ ❤️
This week Reception have been all things pumpkin as we have been using the story Pumpkin Soup in English . We investigated, counted, painted and created so much pumpkin themed learning! We also talked about Remembrance Day and created poppies for our tree⭐️❤️⭐️
We have had a very busy first week back! Using our maths skills, Sounds Write skills and being very creative. We have been looking at China and visiting our Chinese restaurant we created.
We had a visit from Reverend Ian this morning. He talked to the children about a special event called Remembrance Day. The children discussed what it means to be a great person. They then talked about special places and how every cemetery has a special place called the War Cemetery and War Memorial. He then explained Jesus said greatness is what you give. So we need to help each other. They children then gave ideas of how we could all be helpful.
A fabulous Halloween spooktacular week in Reception! Potions, spells, magical moments and amazing creativity
We have definitely embraced Autumn in Reception this week! Making Autumn wands, repeating patterns and prints and capacity using conkers. The children have been using their Sounds Write skills and emerging handwriting to write sounds and words. A very busy and fabulous week ❤️
