Wow!  We have had some amazing creations for our recycling Easter Bonnet competition.  The children have really taken on the challenge with such enthusiasm and pride, it’s going to be a difficult job choosing a winner.

Sunderland AFC Women face Sheffield United at Eppleton CW this week! Get behind the Lasses in the WSL2 on Wednesday 18 March, as they look to continue their excellent home form.
The Lasses have not lost at home in the WSL2 since early November, and this will be their final match at Eppleton before taking on Newcastle at the Stadium of Light in the Wear-Tyne derby!

Festival of The Girl Newcastle
in Partnership with North Standard

Below is one of the activities (Hands‑On Engineering) at the Festival of the Girl (it has a focus on girls aged 7 to 11 but everyone is welcome)
The event invites children and their families to explore sport, STEM, wellbeing, friendships, sustainability, and future careers through fun, hands‑on workshops. Activities on the day include Hands‑On Engineering, Positive Action for the Planet, Saving Lives at Sea, Learn About a Tech Ecosystem, Become a Ship’s Captain, and Dreams in Aviation.  It’s a brilliant opportunity for families to explore, learn, and be inspired together.

They have a morning session (10:30 to 13:30) and an afternoon session (2pm to 5pm).

We are really pleased to share that Hebburn Lakes have been recognised for its commitment to Healthy Schools by being featured in  ‘a better u Approach to Prevention’ report published in collaboration between South Tyneside Council and the NHS.

CATCH THE LASSES UNDER THE LIGHTS!
We’re just days away from Sunderland AFC Women’s Barclays WSL2 clash against Sheffield United at the Stadium of Light, and you could be there to cheer them on for as little as £1.50!
The Lasses will be back at the Stadium of Light for the first time since October last year, and will be looking to do the double on a side they defeated 4-0 on the opening day of the season.
