What a week we’ve had in 5 Blue . As part of our Learning Means The World theme, ‘In your Element’ we have been learning all about tectonic plates, earthquakes and most excitingly volcanos. We have learnt how the earths surface is made up and how the movement of tectonic plates can cause the planet to react in different ways.
we have created a our very own volcanos and with the help of vinegar and bicarbonate of soda created our own eruptions. As you can see from our pictures we have had a lot of fun.
1 Red have really embraced our current LMTW theme ‘Never Eat Shredded Wheat’. They have shown so much enthusiasm both in and out of school producing some high quality pieces of work. They have taken their homework to the next level by making models, writing setting descriptions, describing the pirates and researching information about various foods animals from around the world. I am sure you’ll agree that their effort is superb!

A busy week in Reception! Investigating ice and snow, building lots of transport ideas, using our Sounds Write skills and so much creativity! ⭐️❤️❄️👏
The last few Autumn activities and then we have been dipping a toe into Christmas!
This half term our children have completed some amazing homework, showing a real commitment to their own learning. Well done year 4!
As part of our ‘Come Fly With Me: Africa” theme we have been learning about different African dishes. This afternoon, we created a cous cous dish.
In Learning Means the World ‘Come Fly with me Arctic Circle’ we have been looking at the arctic habitat which is known as a tundra. The children learnt that the arctic tundra is cold and often made up of sea and snow. This week we have been focusing on the design and technology element of the curriculum. The children all drew their own tundras then created an animal slider to move on it. If it was a land animal it was on the snow if it was a sea animal it was in the water. The children all did an amazing job and had great fun designing and making them.

This week Reception have been all things pumpkin as we have been using the story Pumpkin Soup in English . We investigated, counted, painted and created so much pumpkin themed learning! We also talked about Remembrance Day and created poppies for our tree⭐️❤️⭐️
