I have loved being with these amazing children over the last two years. They are an absolute credit to you and I am going to miss them dearly. We went out of year 2 in style!
What a great day we have all had! We’ve done everything from building dens, cooked up a storm in the mud kitchen, completed Lego challenges and built champion sandcastles. We’ll sleep well tonight ( and I don’t just mean the children!)

An amazing day with LOTS to do and see
We took part in the whole school careers day. Lots of businesses and people with interesting careers came and joined us for the day. We have been learning about civil engineers and their role in building bridges, I’m sure you’ll agree our bridges were much better than any you see on your travels! We looked at the world of advertising through the use of media videos and green screen. The children enjoyed watching Mrs Chisholm discover her new career, she is obviously wasted as a Teacher and needs to be on the big screen!! We also looked at Halfords and their cars and what they do everyday. We found today very interesting and we now have lots of fun ideas and goals for our future – watch this space!
Today we were lucky enough to have a truly memorable visit from the author Stuart Reid. He read from his books and we helped him to reenact his favourite ( but disgusting !) parts. I think we have all been inspired to follow our passions and write about what makes us happy and makes us laugh!
Well done to the children in Reception who entered the competition to design a new superhero and were given a ‘Young Writers’ award! They were amazing and are now going to be published in a book this summer! We are so proud of you.
