We have definitely embraced Autumn in Reception this week! Making Autumn wands, repeating patterns and prints and capacity using conkers. The children have been using their Sounds Write skills and emerging handwriting to write sounds and words. A very busy and fabulous week ❤️
What a busy week Reception has had. Lots of measuring capacity, length and weight! Sounds Write skills are being shown everywhere and it’s fabulous! So much creativity and team work ❤️⭐️❤️
This morning we had a visit from Reverend Ian at St John’s church. He talked about how God created people in his image. He talked about how people are special and how you see their images on coins etc. He then talked about how everyone is special, how we have to treat everyone with kindness and look after everyone.
What a fabulous afternoon Reception had! Thank you to all the adults who came to support our stay and play! The children were so excited to show everyone around and it was lovely to see them proudly showing off! ❤️⭐️❤️
Reception had a Sports Day! There was great teamwork, confidence and determination! We are so proud of them all! They battled through the heat and made everyone smile with their Sports Day skills!
For careers day Reception had a visit from a children’s nurse and an occupational therapist. They talked to the children about their day to day jobs and showed them what they did with children and their families. The children asked them some questions and then we chatted about who was inspired to think about a career similar to theirs when they grow up.
A great week in Reception. We are using Rainbow Fish for our English jobs. There has been so much creativity and writing linked to this fabulous story! Reception showing off their talents as always ❤️

Reception had a fabulous time experiencing Futsal this week!
As part of our theme ‘What On Earth’ we decided to visit a farm. The children were able to look at animals and their young, also feeding and holding a great variety too! The children were truly amazing and were so gentle and caring with all of the animals. We are so proud of them all. Fabulous memories made ❤️❤️❤️
