Reception had a fabulous stay and play sessions.  Their grown ups came to spend some time joining in with some of the activities the children enjoy in school.  They showed them how creative they are, how they are working so hard on their Sounds Write skills, maths and so much more! How does your garden grow?

5th March 2026N Sikka

In Science today the children looked at the process of how plants and flowers grow.  The children were able to discuss the different elements that a seed needs to help it flourish and develop.  The children then all had a go at planting some cress seeds using the process discussed  and watch the cress grow over time and then they can eventually use the cress that they have grown to make egg and cress sandwiches.

Project engineers are amazing in year 2!

30th January 2026L Chisholm

As part of our science lessons in ‘Land Ahoy’ we watched a life boat and how it is transported from the garage to the sea.  We decided to design and construct our own boat transporter.  We worked in teams to design what we would build, made a list of what we would need to complete the task then we worked together to build our transporter.  We worked well together discussing our ideas and trialing them then improving them until we were happy with our finished design.  We then let our class mates see our design and showed them how it worked.  It was amazing and we really showed off our engineering skills!
