A fabulous week in Reception. Lots of creativity as always 🤗. This week we have been blown away by children trying to write independent sentences and maths number sentences, just amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️. As always, lots of teamwork and kindness ❤️⭐️👏❤️⭐️
This afternoon in 1 Red we revisited 3D shapes and talked about their properties and features. We compared the shapes and looked at the similarities and differences. The children were able to find many 3D shapes around the classroom environment and described what they noticed about them.
A busy week in Reception! Investigating ice and snow, building lots of transport ideas, using our Sounds Write skills and so much creativity! ⭐️❤️❄️👏
The last few Autumn activities and then we have been dipping a toe into Christmas!
In Maths 4 Red have been using bar modelling and practical resources to solve missing number problems.
This week Reception have been all things pumpkin as we have been using the story Pumpkin Soup in English . We investigated, counted, painted and created so much pumpkin themed learning! We also talked about Remembrance Day and created poppies for our tree⭐️❤️⭐️
2 Red have really enjoyed their teamwork tasks this week. In Maths they investigated, ‘proved it’ and looked for patterns in their number bonds. Each time they showed how to work systematically and to communicate effectively within their teams.
We have had a very busy first week back! Using our maths skills, Sounds Write skills and being very creative. We have been looking at China and visiting our Chinese restaurant we created.
