The children in year four have been learning all about ‘The Digestive System’. They have even created their own models using play doh.
The children in our KS2 Choir had a brilliant time performing their carols at Campbell Court residential home as well as Hebburn Comp’s Christmas fayre last week!
They showed courage, confidence and lots of Christmas spirit while singing their hearts out for the residents and staff.
We are so proud of them all!
This half term our children have completed some amazing homework, showing a real commitment to their own learning. Well done year 4!
As part of our ‘Come Fly With Me: Africa” theme we have been learning about different African dishes. This afternoon, we created a cous cous dish.

In Maths 4 Red have been using bar modelling and practical resources to solve missing number problems.
Today the children re-enacted what life was like in the early days of The Benin Kingdom. They each formed villages and then traded items with other villages in the class. By trading, the children realised that by pooling resources with other villagers, they were able to prosper. This is how the Benin Kingdom was formed.
School Council News:
On Tuesday, our KS2 School Council attended the Armistice Day service in Monkton Village. Although it was rainy and cold, the children stood with pride and showed respect throughout the entire service. They laid a wreath on the cenotaph and sung hymns beautifully. We even ended our trip with a well-deserved hot chocolate! Well done KS2 School Council.
